Welcome to the New Year
It's time to make the most of your HSA's tax benefits in 2024. To set yourself up for success, take a moment to scroll down and review the valuable information available on this site about your HSA.
2023 Limited Purpose/Medical FSA
If you have a 2023 Limited Purpose FSA or Medical FSA, you'll be glad to know that up to $570 has been carried over into a 2024 plan. This amount can be used for eligible expenses incurred in 2024. Remember, you can still file claims against the remaining balance in your 2023 account until April 30, 2024. Just visit the web portal or use a paper claim form. Be sure to submit all 2023 claims by the deadline, as any remaining balances after that date will be forfeited according to IRS and plan rules. Please note that you cannot use your FSA debit card in 2024 to pay for expenses with a 2023 date of service.
2023 Dependent Care FSA
For the 2023 Dependent Care FSA, please note that the final date to incur expenses is Dec. 31, 2023. You will have until April 30, 2024 to file claims against the account. Keep in mind that any remaining balance in the account after this date will be forfeited, as there is no carryover provision for this particular account.
